We hold our meetings on the second Wednesday of each month, from 2pm to 4pm, at St Paul's Church, Parkwood Green, Rainham, Gillingham, Kent, ME8 9PN. Meetings are free for members and £3 for guests. We provide a cup of tea or coffee (caffeinated or decaf) and a biscuit. We ask that you bring your own mug please. If you would prefer an alternative drink please bring it with you. The church building is completely step-free and has a wheelchair accessible toilet. There is free parking available near the church.
At our meetings, invited guest speakers present illustrated talks, which feature a wide range of interesting subjects. Speakers talk for about one hour and answer questions about their topic. Forthcoming talks are listed in the table below. Recent talks have included "Avro Vulcan - The Delta Deterrent", “World of the Strange Workshop” and “Hidden DisAbilities”. We aim for the talks to be interesting, informative, inspiring and entertaining. We welcome all suggestions for potential speakers. We try to avoid topics which may be controversial and do not necessarily endorse the views expressed by speakers.
In June, we hold our Annual General Meeting, and in December, our Christmas party. We do not have speakers at these events. We do not hold a meeting in August.
